Karen's Challenge 7 layout

Wow, this was a big challenge and one full of controversy! Some didn't like the complicated challenges, but I thought it was fun! Each team member had to do a different challenge, member 1 had to do a messy style with no journaling, member 2 had to do a multi designer layout clean style and journal a letter to their 16 or 17 year old self giving advise. I did the part for team member 1, the messy layout, no journaling, perfect for me! Click here for credits and a list of the items I had to include, it's a long one!

ROADBLOCK!!! Challenge 6

I volunteered for this Roadblock and scraplifted this gorgeous sunrise layout by Karen.

The Roadblock was to lift and spin, so I flipped her layout vertically, and then scrapped the opposite which is a sunset layout.

Lots of fun!

Karen's Layout for Challenge 5

For my interview with an inanimate object, I choose my Granddaughter's cute little China Dog.

Here's the journaling:

How did you feel when you saw an adorable little girl taking an interest in you in the store?

I was so happy when Jessie picked me up and took one look at me and gave me a hug! I fell in love with her right then!

Were you afraid you’d been left behind when we left you in the store and went next door to do more shopping?

Yes, I was so afraid she would forget all about me and not come back for me. I can’t tell you how happy I was to see her smiling face again when she came back for me!

How do you like the name she gave you?

I love the name Princess, it makes me feel so special that she thought enough of me to give me such a beautiful name.

Were you sad when she choose to leave you at Gma’s house?

Yes, I was sad, but I understand she didn’t want me to get broken, I feel safe at Gma’s house and look forward to Jessie’s visits when we can spend some special time together! I heard a rumor that she’ll be here next weekend and I’m looking forward to celebrating Easter with her!

Karen's Layout for Challenge 4

Wow, the time is flying by! We're already on challenge 4! I choose to do a layout about an event that took place over 100 years ago. I think the boys have been on my mind lately because I just got a copy of their photo from a distant relative. So here's my layout. You can find the journaling and credits here

Karen's Challenge 3 layout

I decided to go ahead and do a layout for challenge 3 even though it's optional. Just a few little odds and ends about me. Credits can be found here
Chris's layout for Challenge 4, using a large photo, no more than 4 elements and blending. I haven't blended in a while, so this was fun!!

Challenge 3

Challenge 3 took us to Digital Scrapbook Memories and this challenge:

1) Make a scrapbook page about yourself.
2) Fill at least half of the page with journaling about yourself.

Because of some controversy over how the prize was done, this challenge is optional

Our Challenge 2 layout

Our second challenge was a collaboration challenge. We worked together to create a single layout. We each created half of the page. We choose to split our page on the diagonal and here is what we did: our parts of the world! Wow, Chris your photos make me want to visit California and the ocean!

Here is where your creativity comes in, you can split it up however you want: top and bottom, side to side, diagonal, L shaped, checkerboard whatever! Use your imagination and let's see your creativity shine through.

Karen's Layout for Challenge 1

Here's my layout for our first challenge. Can you guess what
my favorite color is, LOL!

Journaling on layout:

I love to photograph and scrap about Jessie. She’s such a good sport about letting me take photos of her, she loves to pose for me. Here she is at her 8th birthday party, having a good time.

The Race Begins!

We received our first challenge on Sunday morning!

Our challenge is:

I. Use the template supplied by Christy Haig. Take the sketch/template and make it a bit your own. You can do this by flipping the layout, adding a photo, moving a few things around, changing the shape of something, or anything else you want to do to personalize the sketch/template
2. Use your favorite color on the layout. Try to make at least half of your layout in your favorite color so we can all see what it is.
3. Share with us a picture of your favorite person or animal to scrap about on your layout. I want to know who or what is closest to your heart.
4. Go through your collection of digital elements and pick out one of your favorites. Then use at least three times on your layout. You can use different colors of the same thing, but I want to see three of the same element. For example, if your favorite element is a specific satin ribbon, then use that ribbon three times on your layout. You could use it three times looking exactly the same way or you could alter the color of ribbon to three different colors.
